Ms.Short and the Committee would like to thank all of the parents that attended our 'Run A Mile With A Smile'. It was great that ye braved all the weather conditions. We were also delighted with the amount of parents that attended our 'Active Schools' Information and games day. The children worked hard developing their 'Active' Raps and on preparation for the games. As always we couldn't do it all without your support.:)

Encourage your children to play:

It should be noted that children at play are not playing about; their games should be seen as their most serious minded activity.

Active Schools Assembly!
Today's Active Schools assembly was a great success. All the classes got to display their class raps and informed the parents of all of the sports going on through out the School. 3rd class then got to showcase some easy games that parents could play at home with their children. Well Done to everyone that took part, and a big thank you to the parents who came to support us!:)

Run a Mile with a Smile

Today every person and every class went up to the Peace Link including all the staff and helpers. We all walked up and did our “Run a Mile with a Smile”. It was great fun and our classes all got given separate lanes, and sixth class were in lane seven, on the outside of the track. All our parents gathered around the track to cheer all of us on! We all have been training very hard over the last couple of weeks and we all enjoyed it very much!

Leah Cosgrove, 6th class

Today Tuesday the 2nd of  March 2016 we the pupils of St.Tiarnachs ran 'A Mile
With A Smile' .We did a lot of training for this in school, with teachers bringing us out for runs and doing 'bizzy breaks' with us in our classrooms. The weather was good and the sun was out, but it
did rain
once or twice. We got a little bit wet,but we kept on going with our run. Everyone tried their best and most people ran or walked the full mile. The Infants did really well with their mile, and kept going until they were all finished.
Before we ran, each class said the active schools motto .We got into our lanes and Mrs.Beggan told us when to start. All classes worked really well together and cheered each other on!Then we got our photos taken after we had finished. It was great  fun  and we all really enjoyed the day
